This machine can also be installed in the lab for the experiment and demonstration to engineering students. We are developing a pneumatically operated cutting and punching machine which will use the help of compressed air to drive a shearing blade and punch to carry out the operations on a metallic sheet. Automation of conventional sheet metal bending machine operations thus converting a manually operated bending machine to an automatic machine. The idea of the project generated due to a manual sheet metal sheering machine in workshop of our college.

To design and fabricate pneumatic based sheet metal cutting machine to be used for the cut the sheet metal of minimum thickness without manual hard work instead we use pneumatic control system to operate the cutting machine accurately. The machine is designed to cut 1mm thick aluminium sheets and 0 5mm thick copper sheets very easily. The sheet metal cutting machine works with the assistance of pneumatic twofold acting barrel. It is an efficient way of increasing production for small scale industries.

The machine consists of a pneumatic cylinder fabricated with a linking joint attached to it. The pneumatic cutting machine ensures exact cutting speed each time to get the consistent cutting result without any break. 14 developed a pneumatic sheet metal cutting machine which runs by means of pre compressed air. The machine is convenient in the estimate so natural transportable.
